Free Advice on What Not to do When Writing a Story

Here are the things you are recommended not to do when telling a story.

  1. The last thing you want to do is be boring.
  2. Don't be tentative in what you are selling. If you don't believe in the product why should your prospect?
  3. Don't educate non stop without selling first.
Let's clarify what "Hype" is and how you can avoid it.
  1. People think that content is "Hypey" when it has over blown promises or……
  2. Claims you cannot support
  3. Even if what you are dying is the truth, it is more important that you remain believable.
This can be a touchy subject. Many big corporations (non info product business) that are very successful will argue that it is not a good idea to have people in the promotion of a product. So Remember:
  • There are always going to be limits as to what you can do.
  • Unless you have a well recognized brand, it is usually in your best interest to have a person in the promotion, especially with info products.
  • You also want to include something about the person or key personalities behind the business even in a non info product business promotion.
