How 1 cent Auctions are a rip off

I can not believe all the people that sign up for the sites that do a auctions by pennies I know it might sound fun and look fun, but do people realize how much they are making of these products it blows my mind. The people who thought of this are geniuses and I can not believe it. See think about it if there is an iPad that goes for a 100 dollars just using a even number. Everyone thinks that is a steal, but think about it that is 1000 penny bids. If you buy a 1000 bids it cost you 550 dollars and then you still have to pay the price of the product so for a 350 dollar product they are making 650 dollars. I don't understand how people can not see this it is crazy. I am not saying you can not get lucky and jump in at the right time, but remember these companies are out there to make money not just give people things for free. I know all there catchy phrases and great pricing they sell for just suck people in. I just wish there was a way to get this information out there and let people know.

Money making ideas?

Well everyday for years now I read these make money from home stories and how everyone is making all this money. Let me tell you the only people that really make the money are the owners and leaders. Everyone has there own idea in how to make money and how to suck people into there circles, but there are just too many money making scams out there. At some point they have to stop and just imagine if they all joined together into one big pyramid scam. Well anyways people do make money but very few they don't tell you that they get all the new combers, but majority of the new combers well 99 percent of them get sucked in and do not make a dime. The same thing goes for all these books, but what it comes down too is if you don't have the drive to never give up and push yourself to the limits then do not waste your time. Well good luck in your adventures and hope you all become successful and get everything you want. Just watch yourself when they start showing you there big houses and things they own do not get sucked in because you would like to have the same thing. Just remember there is a lot of work that has to go into what ever you do just be prepared to do it.

Does coffee cause cancer?

Short answer: No
Coffee got a bad rap in the 1980s when a studylinked drinking coffee to pancreatic cancer. The preliminary report was later debunked.
More recently, health studies have swung in favor of the caffeinated beverage. Coffee has been linked to a lower risk of type 2 diabetes, Parkinson's disease, liver cancer, and even suicide.

Are all wheat breads better for you than white bread?

Short answer: No
Not all wheat breads are created equal. Wheat breads that contain all parts of the grain kernel, including the nutrient-rich germ and fiber-dense bran, must be labeled "whole grain" or "whole wheat."
Some wheat breads are just white bread with a little bit of caramel coloring to make the bread appear healthier, according to Reader's Digest.

Can a hot tub make me sick?

Short answer: Yes
Hot tubs — especially ones in spas, hotels, and gyms — are perfect breeding grounds for germs.
The water is not hot enough to kill bacteria, but is just the right temperature to make microbes grow even faster. Even though hot tubs are treated with chlorine, the heat causes the disinfectant to break down faster than it would in regular pools.
The most common hot tub infection is pseudomonas folliculitis, which causes red, itchy bumps. A more dangerous side-effect of soaking in a dirty Jacuzzi is a form of pneumonia known as Legionnaire's disease. This is what reportedly sickened more than 100 people at the Playboy Mansion back in 2011.

Is the MSG in Chinese likely to give you a headache?

Short answer: No
A review of 40 years of clinical trials, published in thejournal of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in 2006, found that all previous research "failed to identify a consistent relationship between the consumption of MSG and the constellation of symptoms that comprise the syndrome," including headaches and asthma attacks.
The misconception spawned from several poorly-done small studies in the 1960s that seemed to connect MSG with a variety of maladies that people experienced after eating at Chinese restaurants.

Well this is god because I do like my Chinese food.

Do I need sunscreen with more than 30 SPF?

Short answer: No
Sunscreens with an SPF (sun protection factor) of 30 block about 97% of ultraviolet rays, while sunscreens with an SPF of higher than 30 block 97%-98%.
It's more important that you choose "broad-spectrum" sunscreen, meaning it protects against both UVB and UVA rays. Sunbathers also need to apply a generous amount of sunscreen in order to get the full benefit of the SPF.

Is drinking fruit juice as good for you as eating fruit?

Short answer: No
Calorie for calorie, whole fruit provides more nutritional benefits than drinking the pure juice of that fruit. That's because when you liquefy fruit, stripping away the peel and dumping the pulp, many ingredients like fiber, calcium, vitamin C, and other antioxidants are lost.
For comparison, a five-ounce glass of orange juice that contains 69 calories has .3 grams of dietary fiber and 16 milligrams of calcium, whereas an orange with the same number of calories packs 3.1 grams of fiber and 60 milligrams of calcium.

Does olive oil prevent heart disease?

Short answer: Yes
The health benefits of olive oil come from the presence of polyphenols, antioxidants that reduce the risk of heart diseases and cancers.
But to get these healthy compounds, consumers should buy good-quality, fresh "extra-virgin" olive oil, which has the highest polyphenol content. Most commercially available olive oils have low levels of polyphenols associated with poor harvesting methods, improper storage, and heavy processing.

Is walking as effective as running?

Short answer: Yes
Studies have shown that how long you exercise — and thus how many calories you burn — is more important than how hard you exercise. Running is a more efficient form of exercise, but not necessarily better for you.
A six-year study published in the journal Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology in April found that walking at a moderate pace and running produced similar health benefits, so long as the same amount of energy was expended.

Do nuts make you fat?

Short answer: No
As much as 75% of a nut is fat. But eating fat doesn't necessarily make you fat. The bigger factor leading to weight gain is portion-size. Luckily, nuts are loaded with healthy fats that keep you full. They're also a good source of protein and fiber.
One study even found that whole almonds have 20% less calories than previously thought because a lot of the fat is excreted from the body.

Do sugary soft drinks lead to diabetes?

Short answer: Yes
The majority of health research is stacked against sugar-sweetened soda. A large 2004 study in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that women who drank one or more sugary drinks per day increased their risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 83% compared to those who consumed less than one of these beverages per month.

WHO GETS TO BE AN MXA TEST RIDER?

There are three levels of MXA test rider: (1) In house; (2) MXA Race Team; (3) Photo Session.

"In house" test riders have been testing bikes for years. They have ridden virtually every bike made, including factory works bikes and high-dollar exotics. These are the most experienced test riders in the world, because unlike manufacturers test riders, they aren't bound to one brand or one engine size. No MXA test bike is evaluated by any single rider but will be ridden by Jody Weisel, John Basher, Dennis Stapleton, Alan Olson and Willy Musgrave before it is handed down to the next tier of test riders--the MXA race team.

The "MXA race team" races every week and can normally be found at Glen Helen, Cahuilla Creek, Piru, Gorman or Competitive Edge. MXA race team members get free bikes, parts, clothes, helmets, maintenance and tires. But, they have to race a different bike every week, sometimes a different bike between motos. Their job is to accumulate a vast reservoir of information about each test bike in a short period of time. Its not unusual for one test bike to be ridden in four different classes on the same day.

The "Photo Session" riders ride the bikes for magazine photography. Many famous riders have spent time before the MXA cameras, the best known being Jeremy McGrath, but Mike Craig, Mike Chamberlain, Lance Moorewood, Clark Jones, Larry Brooks, Jeff Ward, Greg Schnell and Phil Lawrence have done the deed.

Does sugar cause hyperactivity?

Short answer: No
Following a review of 23 studies, a 1996 report published in the Journal of the American Medical Association concluded that sugar "does not affect the behavior or cognitive performance of children."
The age-old myth that kids misbehave when they eat large amounts of candy, cookies, and other junk food, could be related to the type of events where these foods are typically served. For example, kids are more wound-up at birthday parties and during Halloween when sweet treats tend to flow freely.

Do Cough Syrups Really Work?

Do cough syrups work?

Short answer: No
In 2006, the nation's chest physicians agreed that the majority of over-the-counter cough medicines don't actually work. These colorful syrups typically contain doses of codeine and dextromethorphan that are too small to be effective.
Only cough suppressants that contain older antihistamines seem to relieve coughs. That includes brompheniramine, an active ingredient in Dimetapp

Rich vs Poor What Makes You Happy

So just another day looking for the gold mine in which we are all in search of, and until this day I have not found something that makes a buck fast enough. Here is the problem and don't think it will not happen to anyone we all say all I want is whatever that amount is in your head, but just realize one thing that will never be enough. As you make more you spend more and if you have that successful drive and determination you might get what you want, but what I am saying is that you will never be happy money does not buy happiness as we all think it does. So whatever you have now make best of life and be happy enjoy it because you only live once. I am not trying to say do not be successful, but I am just trying to say be happy with what ever cards you are dealt, and do not give up and trying just keep in the back of your mind you are happy no matter what the turn out is.

If You Were Back In High School What Would You Change

Okay here is a question that I was thinking about for a long time, but just thought I would throw it out there and see if we get a response. Now for all those people out there that are successful or just making ends meet which should be most the world. I was wondering now that your out of school do all the geeks wish they were popular and not so smart but when you answer what would have changed in what you are doing now. On the other hand do all the popular people do you wish that you studied more, and I that too would change what you are doing in life. The last point of view would be well you just like how everything turned out and wish nothing would change.

The Slogan Making Money From Home Is It Really Fitting.

Well I think there is a little irony in making money at home after all we all went to make money to never be home. I think there should be a better catch phrase because as most of the people that want to make money from home will see a big change after being successful. Think about it we all start out thinking it is great to be home all the time, and not have to go to work and you are also your own boss. Lets remember not only are you in charge of your own destiny you now have to make your own business decisions, and I really don't think that is a bad thing unless you make all the wrong decisions. Well lets say you make all the right decisions and you become finically free and can do what you want within reason. Well now we are back to getting out of the house and traveling all over this is why I think we should have a better slogan than making money from home. If anyone has a good idea on something that stands out and sounds good go ahead and let us here it.

10 Reasons Why eBay Sucks for Sellers

This was an article I found that I kind of agree with please let me know what you think about ebay?

1. Illegitimate feedback

If a buyer gives you a negtive feedback for no reason, you can’t remove it. There goes your entire reputation and sometimes your entire business.

2. Annoying rules

For example in the last 12 hours of an auction you can’t change images. A potential buyer emailed me to notify me that I had put the wrong picture on the auction page.  There was no bid but because there were only 10 hours left,  I couldn’t change the picture, and what do you know, no sale.

3. Bogus buyers

No more negative feedback for bogus buyers, meaning that buyers who don’t pay for their winning bids cannot be penalized by the seller. This too destroys the entire feedback system.

4. Fees

EBay’s sale commission is a good chunk plus you have to pay for every listing detail practically. Subtitle: $.50, picture: $.25, bold title: $1, etc.

5. PayPal

If you use PayPal which is very handy for eBay selling you’re going to be ripped off. They continually take more and more commissions. Plus eBay owns PayPal so you are charged 3 times, listing, commission and PayPal!

6. Refunds

Someone can buy your item using PayPal, receive the item, and then lie and say that it was not shipped. PayPal will then refund them the entire purchase amount.

8. Shipping

Everything relies on shipping. The postal service once lost a small expensive package I sold; the buyer had not pay for insurance. So I had to wait for weeks to find out what happened, and then reimburse the item from my pocket!

9. Free alternative – Craigslist

There’s just no incentive to sell on eBay when you have Craigslist. It’s 100% free, the buying market is huge, its easy, no shipping involved, door to door. What more could you ask for?

10. Terrible customer service

If you have a problem with a sale or purchase, you have to go through bots and finally days later receive a humans actual help.

* Messy interface

Every time eBay seems to update their interface and website it gets worse. No matter how many people complain the site just becomes worse.
So even though I started a successful eBay business I have moved on. If you use eBay, let me know what you think.

The New Jersey Tax Lien Certificate Secret

Okay… here is something that most Tax Lien Investors Would love to know: the top-secret way investors bid the interest rate down to 0% pay a premium and still make a profit. The secret is four simple words: subsequent taxes and penalties. Property taxes in New Jersey are among the highest in the nation. Taxes are so high that the township / municipalities’ collect taxes four times a year rather than twice per year like the rest of the country. Traditionally only one quarter of the years taxes are sold via a tax lien certificate. The certificate holder, and only the certificate holder, has the right to pay the subsequent taxes for the other three quarters of the year (as soon as fourteen days after the sale). The subsequent taxes will be added to the lien at the full 18% interest rate. The certificate holder may also repeat the process the following year if the property owner has not redeemed. The investor also receives a penalty that varies from 2% to 6% based on the size of the lien on his or her entire investment, minus the premium amount paid on the original tax lien certificate.
Each state has nuances that can throw a fledgling tax lien investor off. Don’t wait for a forewarning that will likely not come; complete your due diligence by thoroughly researching every state you intend to invest in. Become familiar with not only the rules, but also the local bidding practices. This will help prevent thoughts on the topic of crystal balls, not lose your mind at an auction, and help you to gain the confidence and experience you need to bid and win.

What is the Latest Craze for Making Money

Most methods for money making at home involve using the computer in some way, some even for telling people how to fix their computers. Now, you can make money almost entirely on line these days. How, you might be asking? Well, personally, you can write articles for blogs and other things, generally on the cheap, but if you are a fast writer, so you can usually get a lot of money rather quickly.
More than you would get in a regular nine to five job. Writing articles, however, is not for everyone, and probably is not a very safe business plan. If you want a proper idea of a job, many companies let you operate like a call center, taking and redirecting phone calls to the people who need to hear them from the comfort of your own living room, or where ever it is that you prefer to do your work. Not everything is on the computer though, sometimes you simply work the phones, or even just put things in to envelopes and send them off to certain addresses, all of this will make you money at home.
Back to the computer though, because that is where you have the best chance of making money, you can also manage various internet marketing sites, places that buy and sell various items from real people to other real people. Mostly, you would be managing the funds, as the actual buying and selling can be supervised by programs, but the money needs a special touch that only a human mind can afford.

The 10 Things Successful People Live By Before They Make It

1. They didn’t use excuses.

We all have two voices. There’s the voice that tells us to work hard, to focus on the task at hand and to finish it before we move on to the next. And to finish it well.
We also have the voice that tells us to take a break, to think about what’s on TV, or to visit a site that we like to visit that entertains us – whether it’s ESPN.com or facebook.
In life we’re the victim of injustice from time to time. It could be a promotion that we deserve but don’t get. No matter who we are, we’re going to be treated unfairly at some point. We can either feel sorry for ourselves, or push forward and put it behind us – even use it as motivation.
Nelson Mandela could have used his unjust imprisonment as an excuse to give into his anger. Instead, he used it as an opportunity to learn, grow, and eventually free others.
Listen to your excuses. Understand why you have them. Then figure out how you can use them for good.

2. It wasn’t just about them.

‘Things’ can be a motivator, they can even be a reward, but they can’t be the motivator. The truly successful in life always get there because they created change in the lives of others, not just their own.
If something drives you that is greater than just the ‘ends’, we’re going to work harder, longer, and we’re going to give more of ourselves to our project.
Yes we can make money when we have the primary goal of making money. Some might even use that money for good – which is awesome. But there’s no fulfillment in simply making money. And isn’t that the point?

3. Early mornings and late nights.

People who have achieved true success in their lives have worked for it.
This might come at the detriment of other areas of their lives, such as family or social life. But their mission is first and foremost. Until it’s complete, everything else comes second.
There’s literally no substitute for hard work. Abraham Lincoln said, “Things may come to those who wait… but only the things left by those who hustle.” If you want to be successful, you’re going to have to out hustle everyone else.

4. The greatest commodity.

Energy is a huge commodity that is often not talked about. Yes, energy in the sense of fuel and electricity is talked about everywhere, but I’m talking about our own energy levels.
The fact is that the more energy we have, the easier it is to focus, and the higher the quality of our work is.
One of Richard Branson‘s ‘key’s to success’ is staying in great physical shape. So would raised energy levels be the greatest benefit to working out? It may be.
Keeping physically fit gives us greater blood-flow to our brain, enhanced alertness and improved focus. Make training a routine part of your life and increase your chances at success – in every meaning of the word.

5. Principles.

History will be kind to me. For I intend to write it.
Winston Churchill had principles. The difference between him and the rest of us, is that he stuck to his principles at all costs. He didn’t waver when they weren’t popular – an extreme rarity in politics.
What are your principles? All of us should have them, know what they are, and live our lives bythem.
One of Apple’s principles is to bring change to the world through technology, and they do it with every product they release.
Identify what principles you have that guide your life through tough times, and when things couldn’t be any better. They shouldn’t change, and at your core, neither should you.

6. Wavering, yet unbreakable faith.

We all have moments of doubt. Even the best of us question if our dream is going to come true. The one thing that separates the truly successful from those who never reach their true potential is an unbreakable faith in the fact that what they’re doing is right.
Even if they have moments of doubt, they’re soon quelled, where other’s listen to that doubt and let it eat them up and finally they quit.
Have your moments of doubt. You’re human. Just don’t let that doubt eat you up. Instead let it motivate you to prove your optimism right.

7. A reason.

Many of the greatest accomplishments in the world were accomplished by insecure men and women, people who had something to prove to others. A desire to elevate their status and create change that was so strong, that failure is simply never and option.
Abraham Lincoln‘s reason(s) had to do a lot with his view of himself in relation to how other’s viewed him. Where others saw a poor, illiterate boy, Lincoln saw someone capable of achieving more, even if he had to do it completely on his own. He also saw the need for change. A nation that preached freedom wasn’t free. He saw something fundamentally wrong with this and set out to change it. His why wasn’t about him. Which in turn made him one of history’s great men.
Understand why. You have that reason to work when others sleep, to sacrifice a safe life for a risky one with no ceiling. Find it by asking why, and not stopping until you hit your core, emotional reason for wanting to change your status, or the status of others.

8. They persevered when others didn’t.

How does the guy who quit on his dream know how long it would’ve taken him to become a success? He doesn’t. None of us do. It could be tomorrow, or ten years from now.
What separates a lot of the great people we read about in our history books from those we’ve never heard of is the fact that they never quit. Quitting was never an option. They only stopped when they reached their dream. And even then, they created a new mission.
Take James J. Braddock, or even Nelson Mandela, for example. They didn’t achieve their greatness or success early on in their careers or in life like some. They achieved it after surviving. They survived while others literally died, or quit. In their cases it wasn’t just that they were the best, but they were the best because of what they endured. They were the last one’s standing.
We don’t know when our breakthrough will come. So don’t guarantee your failure by quitting. You can adapt, change, and evolve, but never, never, never quit.

9. Great people relentlessly studied their craft.

Tony Gwynn and Mike Tyson studied their craft as much as anyone. Gwynn spent hours upon hours studying opposing pitchers. He studied their patterns. He wasn’t the most athletic guy around, but he put his work in to be the best at what he did: hit baseballs.
When people think of Tyson, they think of an animal, but what we fail to see is the student. No one studied boxing like Tyson did. Watched more film than anyone in the history of the sport. He was a student first, a fighter second.
These great athletes studied film, but how can we perfect our craft?
Using myself as an example; much of my job has to do with writing, and obviously fitness. So, I study those two things. I read books about how to become a better writer, ways to connect with the reader, and I simply read great books written by authors who are much better at writing than I am. If you’re in sales, read and study sales. If you’re a marketer, then do the same with marketing.
Being a drone that simply goes through the motions is no way to achieve greatness. Assuming success is something you want, you have to study your craft, whatever it may be. Learn it inside and out. Build a wealth of knowledge. It’ll help you create great, inspiring, and unique work.

10. Risk.

No risk, no reward. Yes it’s an over-used, cliché of a phrase. But it’s true. Those who have achieved real success have often risked the most to get there.
There have been billions of people throughout history who have had the ability to achieve greatness, whether it was the talent or smarts, they had it. What they didn’t have was the guts to risk the life that they were living. They also didn’t have the work ethic to see their talent realized.
The greatest tragedy in life is wasted talent ~ A Bronx Tale
Your big, audacious dream might be to marry the girl of your dreams and have a family with her. You risk might be to leave the career that you love in order to support her and your family. Your dream might be to help millions live longer, healthier lives. Whatever your dream is, give it enough of a chance to be realized.
Risk if you truly want to see the reward.

Find your dream. Then risk everything to get it.

How To Train Yourself To Be Successful

By the first "Date you Choose", I will have in my possession "The Amount of Money You Desire", which will come to me in various amounts from time to time during the interim.
In return for this money I will give the most efficient service of which I am capable, rendering the fullest possible quantity, and the best possible quality of service in the capacity of salesman "Or what you are" of giving them the best "what your business does" in the state of "your location" and selling "what you sell".
I believe I will have this money in my possession. My faith is so strong that I can now see this money before my eyes. I can touch it with my hands. It is now awaiting transfer to me at this time, and in the proportions that I deliver the service I intend to render in return for it. I am awaiting a plan by which to accumulate this money, and I will follow that plan, when it is received.

The Greatest Thing About Blogging!

One of the truly great things about blogs is that they are a means of self-expression. In a world where it can be difficult to be heard, they provide a convenient way of airing your opinions and broadcasting your ideas. There is nothing more rewarding than blogging about your passions and interests. It is also a brilliant way to enter the world of writing.

How Repetition Can Kickstart a Habit

I sometime get accused, by readers who have been reading me for awhile, of repetition. I repeat concepts when it comes to habits, simplicity, mindfulness.
Well, sure. My most basic principles are repeated often on this blog: start small, change gradually, one change at a time, identify the essential & eliminate the rest, use public accountability, make the habit the reward, be mindful in any change, find inspiration, and so on.
I do that for a few reasons, but one of them is this: repetition can often get people to make changes.
Repetition is often thought of as a bad thing — never repeat yourself! But actually, repetition is a powerful tool for making changes.
Consider this example for a minute:
One friend says he’s trying the Mindful Diet, where you eat mindfully instead of focusing on types or amounts of foods. “Sounds a bit New Agey”, you think. So you dismiss it. But then a blogger you read recommends the Mindful Diet, and you think, “Hmmm. Frank is doing that too. Still, probably not my thing.” Then you read in the New York Times how this is the most popular new diet craze. Then another friend tells you she lost 27.6 pounds in three weeks doing the Mindful Diet.
At this point, you’re seriously considering it. Actually, by this point most people are already downloading the ebook and signing up for the program. (Hint: you don’t need to buy it — just do nothing else but eat, and pay attention as you eat.)
This is how most of us have made decisions in the past to start a new program, or buy a book. Sometimes one recommendation will do it, if we trust the person or it’s appealing. But if we have any skepticism at first, a bunch of recommendations or mentions will usually overcome that skepticism. Not always, but it goes a long way.
So now imagine you have a family member who is overweight or a smoker or a hoarder of clutter. You want to help them to change, but they are resistant. Well, you can tell them about your change, but that might not do the trick. But if three friends sent articles or mentioned their own similar changes, they would start to think about it. I’ve found 3-5 recommendations to be a good number.
And now consider this: what if you have been wanting to make a change for awhile, but have been putting it off?
You could keep putting it off. Or you could read an article or three about it. You could find three examples of people who have made the change. You could surround yourself with several people making the change themselves.
Pretty soon the surrounding works. The repetition convinces you, motivates you, to take action.
Repetition works.
Repeat to yourself, when you’re about to make a change, “I exercise every day — it’s who I am.” By repeating this to yourself, exercise (or whatever change you’re making) becomes part of your identity.
Repeat the change often, in small steps, when you’re starting out. Put repeated reminders all around you. Have people ask you about it, to the point of endless repetition, so that you don’t forget.
Find inspiration, plan a small action, set reminders, get accountability. And repeat.

Is There Anything In Life Easy: Just Keep On Plugging!

So today I was thinking about how the pyramid schemes really work and most of the time just the top members are the ones who make all the money. Every time you sign up under the head guy you have a good chance to become very successful but the further down you are the harder it seems to get. So I came up with  a great idea that I think can work but I really can not tell anyone yet until I get it done. So if you might be interested in maybe getting in to the top level of a great idea just let me know. One thing I want to ask is how many people say that they want to get rich and reed into all these ideas, but how many really follow through. I guess what Dave Wood said about being a wussy if you do not jump in, but there is so many scams out there who knows anymore which ones will work. Well the Empower Network has a huge meeting this month and I get sent my ticket, but the problem being is my 87 year old parent fell and hit his head and has to spots bleeding on his brain. My mother has dementia and senile and has to be watched 24 hours a day. So that leaves me in a conundrum, yeah can not really do anything the timing is always off in everything in life and as we all know there is nothing easy in life it is all a challenge. All I can do is keep working until I can make it happen. So for all of you out there that run into these problems do not give up just keep plugging until you get what you want.
